Tenant Rights Panel

Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Tenant Rights Panel. They are written in plain English. They are not legal advice; if you are unsure how they affect you, take independent advice.

Last updated: 8 April 2026

The service

Tenant Rights Panel offers a secure workspace for tenants in England and Wales to store tenancy-related documents, read plain-English spotting notes, and receive expert feedback in line with the plan you purchase. Features and limits are described on the site and at checkout.

Not legal advice

Everything on the platform, including notes and expert comments, is for general information and organisation only. It is not legal advice. We are not a law firm. You remain responsible for your decisions, deadlines, and any court or tribunal process. See also our site disclaimer.

Eligibility and account

You must register with accurate details and keep your password confidential. You must be at least 18 and use the service only for lawful purposes. One account should represent you as a tenant (or someone authorised to act for you); do not share credentials in a way that breaches security.

Plans and payment

Access to uploads and panel features is subject to payment through our checkout provider (Stripe), unless we say otherwise. Prices and file limits are shown before you pay. One-off payments apply per the product description. Stripe's own terms apply to how card payments are processed. Taxes and receipts follow Stripe and applicable law.

Uploads and your content

You retain rights in documents you upload. You give us permission to host, process, and display them to you (and to authorised staff for review) so we can run the service. You confirm you have the right to upload the material and that it does not unlawfully infringe others' rights. Uploads may count toward your plan limit and are not designed to be deleted by tenants once submitted, so that allowances and review records stay consistent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse or attempt to break the site, other users, or our suppliers;
  • upload malware or content that is illegal, harassing, or fraudulent;
  • scrape or resell the service in bulk without permission;
  • use the service to give the impression we are advising you as a solicitor or barrister.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change features, copy, or infrastructure with reasonable notice where practicable. If we discontinue the service materially, we will consider fair options for active customers, consistent with law and our technical abilities.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on spotting notes or expert comments as a substitute for legal advice, or from events outside our reasonable control (including failures of third-party providers). We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Our total liability for other claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period for Tenant Rights Panel, except where the law says otherwise.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or pose a security risk. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that naturally survive (including limitations, intellectual property licences to the extent needed to retain records, and accrued payment obligations) continue after the relationship ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also have rights in their home jurisdiction under mandatory rules.

Privacy

Our use of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
